ProPresenter Hack: Making Interactive Games

Sometimes you’ll want to create games where text shows on screen at unpredictable times and locations. This is how you do that in ProPresenter: https://youtu.be/Khpf335lpY4

This idea comes to us from a comment on one of my videos on YouTube.

Sarah Graefe asked

Thanks for the tutorial – wondering if there is a way to do what T Hawks describes But in a way that tracks which team has scored a point first? I am trying to set up a game for kids where one team does an action in the room which “activates” text to appear on the screen in a race against the other team.

Meaning the person in front of pro presenter can click on one side of the screen and have text appear, back and forth in order until one side has made the whole verse appear.

I have no idea if this is possible, but you seem like the person to ask!

Here’s what I came up with. If you create all of your elements in advance as props, you can reveal them in any order you want. So, I did just that in this tutorial.

To further add to the fun, I put a timer on the bottom of the screen and created a variation where each piece is worth different point values which we can update live as the game progresses.

This isn’t limited to your game, though. There are others you can play as well.

Look below for some other games I’ve found that churches are using.

ConnectFour
Hangman
Family Feud
