Twitter: Finding the right followers | Tech Help for Churches

Listen to the audio:

On today’s Tech Help for Churches, Twitter: Finding the right followers [tweet “Only you can answer if your followers need to be local, but they need to be targeted and interested for sure.”]

When you’re looking for new followers for your twitter account, first ask if they need to be local. If you’re a local church, the answer is probably yes.

They do need to be targeted. It’s not that you’re excluding people, but more that you need to aim for a certain group and then welcome anyone who wants to come as well. In contrast, if you try and please everyone, you’ll please none, so at least try an narrow it down.

There are also people who are in the right location, in the target group, but couldn’t care less. These people might be obvious, but they might not. Try and get to know them and that should help.
