On today’s Tech Help for Churches, Twitter: What you’re doing wrong with your profileA lot of people make a bunch of mistakes when it comes to their twitter profiles. First, your name matters. Choose a name to use based on the type of account. If it’s a church account, use your church’s name. If it’s your personal account, use a personal name.
[tweet “Be careful with using your denomination’s website in your Twitter profile.”] For the twitter handle, you’ll have to be creative at this point. Maybe you leave out characters or substitute numbers, but it’s the case that you need to make it appropriate to the account. Don’t go with random characters or a joke no one else will get.For websites, make sure you don’t use your facebook page. Be careful with going with the denominational website, too. That might be seen as tacit agreement with all of their stands and policies (even if you don’t wholly agree).
