ProPresenter 5 and 6 Tutorial: Fixing when the output is on the wrong monitor

If you open up propresenter and the output is on your control screen, instead of the projector, how do you fix it? Try these steps.

The first thing to check is in System preferences. Are there multiple monitors showing connected to the computer. If you don’t see the arrangement tab, stop there and investigate the connections to the external displays.

Now, click arrangement. You should see a box for each monitor. If they look like they’re stacked on top of one another, like a deck of cards, look at the mirroring check box in the lower left hand corner and make sure it’s unchecked.

Now, go to preferences in propresenter itself. In the displays tab, make sure OUT is dragged to the box representing the projector and SD (which is the stage display) is on the output for the stage display (or on the control screen if you don’t have a dedicated stage display).

Finally, turn on the output. Then, tap f3 (or whatever button your Mac uses for expose). Now, just drag the box of the display out to the correct display. Then, click on the control screen.

That should fix it.
