On today’s Tech, No Babel: Choosing a stage television

Once you decide that you need one next, you’ll need to go about choosing a stage television. Here’s what you should look for:

[tweet “Here’s how to go about choosing a stage television and what you should look for:”]

-How big should the screen be?
It can be both too big and too small. For most applications, I’d aim for 42-60″.

-Glossy vs. matte
Glossy will give you better looking black levels. It also reflects light, sometimes causing problems. Pro tip: Use a mirror placed where the TV will go and see if your cameras (or congregation) are blinded by lights in that location, if so, figure out a solution.

Matte stage televisions won’t look as good, but will have fewer issues with reflected light.

Tell me what I’ve missed. What features do you have that you didn’t know you’d need or what do you wish you’d known before choosing a stage television? Tell me in the comments below.
