ProPresenter Tutorial: Mirroring two of three displays

Have three displays or more displays connected to your Mac, but need to send propresenter out of two? Here’s how to do it:

[tweet “Mirroring displays is easy in OS X, but what about mirroring two of three display? Try this:”]

Ideally, you’d want to use a DA (distribution amplifier) to send a video signal to multiple locations, but what if you need to send both HDMI and VGA? What if you don’t have a DA or you only need to temporarily use the stage display to show the output of the main display in ProPresenter 5?

Try this. Go into the system preferences and go to displays. Now, click the arrangement tab. Now, look for the alt or option button on your keyboard (depending if it’s a windows keyboard that you’re using with your Mac or an Apple one). Hold that down while dragging one of the secondary displays onto the other. To return things to normal, uncheck the mirroring check box.

That’s it. It’s really easy, but depending on your system, the quality may not be the best. For more on how to do it, watch the video above.
