ProPresenter 6 Tutorial: 3 ways to add a white box around lyrics

If you haven’t upgraded to ProPresenter 6, only two of these ways will work, but if you have, all three will.

Method one: Right click on a slide. Select edit slide. Click on the object icon at the top and draw a box that completely covers the lyric. Now, go to the object properties and uncheck fill, but check outline. Not increase the size of the outline to what looks good to you; I chose 10. Change the color to white. Leave the editor.

Now, right click on the slide with the box around it. Select templates and then new template from selected slide. Name it.

Finally, select all the other slides in the song and apply that template.

Method two: Right click on the slide, but instead of drawing a box, click once on the lyrics to select the text box. Now, format the text box as you had the object in method one.

Make a new template from this slide and apply it to the others.

Method three: In Pro6, apply the preconstructed white box template. You may need to tweak it for your situation. If so, just follow the instructions above and save it as a new template before applying it to all your lyrics.

For a step by step tutorial (and an example of what most churches do by mistake), see the video above.
