Podcasting- Using Auphonic to Process your Audio
Listen to the audio:On today’s Tech Help for Churches, Podcasting- Using Auphonic to Process your Audio
In a previous episode, I told you about the importance of LUFS in measuring podcast audio loudness. Today, I show you the easiest tool I’ve found to set the appropriate levels and do some other podcast post processing as well.
For many churches, the free version of Auphonic is going to be all you need. By creating an account on auphonic.com, you can process 2 hours of media per month. If your podcast is less than that, you should be fine.
Alternatively, there’s a downloadable piece of software that you can buy and use to do the same thing. Try them both to see which is best, but either way, I think you’ll like the results.
Auphonic can normalize and set audio levels automatically, even removing some audio problems like buzz and hiss, in the process.
To do this, create an account, upload your file to auphonic and then set your preferences and tell it to process. It’s that easy and the results are incredible.
Watch the video above to see me do it with last week’s show (note: I did speed up the upload process so that it wasn’t too boring).
